About Tabata
high intensity
maximum results
Tabata training was discovered by Japanese scientist Dr. Izumi Tabata and a team of researchers from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo. If you’re looking for a new program to add to your routine, you may want to give Tabata try.
Tabata training is a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, featuring exercises that last four minutes. Tabata sessions consist of 20 seconds of maximum-exertion training followed by 10 seconds of recovery. This ultra high intensity cardio is short but very sweet, and will allow you to compact your workout and maximize results.
Tabata can feel demanding, but working at your own pace while building up to the desired intensity level will bring the desired results quicker and more efficiently than other types of cardio.
